When do natralisation records become available for a decease person on NAA?
Can they be applied for, if they haven’t yet been digitised?
For example born circa 1915 and natralised in circa1960, NSW

Hi,
Not sure if this is any help, but you could try doing a generic name search. If any info exists (about anything) you can apply for it (no cost) and it should be digitised (unless parts of it are exempt).
I recently obtained a digitised copy of my father’s file (also deceased) and in it there was information about his naturalisation. Only issue I encountered, NAA didn’t notify me that the file was released so it took me a long time to notice it was available.
Good luck
The natralisation record docesn’t appear on any of the NAA searches, although I come across the natralisation date for the deceased person and his wife in the Trove newpaper archive.
It would be great to find out if NAA offers a service, where they can be contacted to apply for the record to be scanned. Or whether I need to wait until it is eventual released in it’s digital format.
Hi Wayne,
Not all of the naturalisation records we hold are listed on our RecordSearch database.
Please complete and submit the following request form, and we can assist in locating the record.

Thanks,
