Repatriation Records NSW WW1

There are several WWI repatriation files listed for my grandfather Hector MOORE service number 12. One file is $223.09, fora copy, two more are priced at $71.95 each and a fourth file is $36.27. I would like to know if it is necessary to purchase all 4 files, or is there an overlap in the information contained within them. As a family historian I am having trouble understanding which file would be the most useful for my research. While I cannot afford to pay for the $223.09 file, I am unsure of which of the other three would be most useful?

Hi Tahlee,

Thanks for your post.
Further information about what each file may contain, can be found in the Series note - Series - C138 Personal case files .

You will see that each prefix in the control symbol (M, H, R) identifies the type of information you may find in that record, for example M = Medical, H = Hospital etc.

Alternative options to access these records is to request to view the original records. These records are located in our New South Wales office, if you are located in the Sydney region, our Research centre is located in Chester Hill.

Please reach out if you have any further questions.

Thanks,
Leslie (NAA)
