I need to get a record of my National Service discharge so I can apply for a White Card
Hopefully by now you have made headway with getting a white card.
When you were discharged you should have been issued with a discharge certificate
Has a brown cover with you details listed including your service number. Army records would /should be able to help
As for the national service discharge this is a different matter. National Service persons had from memory 3 years of reporting their details under the National Service Act after discharge. This requirement ceased when service in Vietnam ceased and at the same time National service ceased…You can obtain a copy of your service record from Army records. Your National Service discharge will be amongst your service record
