Looking for the owner of a bag found in a WWII training aircraft

Hi there,

While doing some maintenance on a museum aircraft in Canada, I found a bag. It has:
S. Munro
R.A.A.F.
hard to read service number.. maybe 402903…

I’ve tried searching for Munro in the airforce records records but haven’t had any luck. Any tips on how to figure out who this was?

With the following information you should be able to find his service record on the NAA:

Yes it’s his service number 402963 on the bag
There’s also a photo of him in the second link on page 14
