I have found the record of a relative Bruce Gordon Walker on Find A Grave (Bruce G Walker (unknown-1992) - Find a Grave Memorial) and it quotes a military record NX117972. On searching the archives, I cannot find him. His death is registered at BDM NSW as Walker Bruce Gordon 4500/1992 (F) John (M) Jessie. His birth reg is Walker Bruce G 5977/1922 (F) John (M) Jessie M, Kempsey. Is there any way I can double check if the militrary number quoted on the FAG site is correct.

Thank you for your help on this. I looked again on National Archives and still can’t find neither of the numbers nor could I see a Bruce Gordon Walker born in 1922. Have you tried using Anzac Portal Australia? If you think his service number is correct, enter it and his surname and it can give you more information. If his service number doesn’t work, it gives you other choices to try, I hope this is some help.
