With regards to obtaining further information from index cards, who or what department should I go to,
For example; I can see Series No J1209, Name Index of Queensland army personnel ect, Item ID 31445803, would/will the individual cards be photocopied?, as I can’t see them with in a serviceman’s individual file.

Thanks for your question. Unfortunately there is not additional information for these cards, they consist of the headings only and the records have been digitised in full.
We don’t currently hold service records for Army personnel who served in the Korean War and Malayan Emergency, and only hold them for some who served in the British Commonwealth Occupation Force.
We can get access to these service records for you from the Department of Defence. If you are looking for more information about a serviceperson and they don’t seem to have a service record or the record doesn’t cover the right time period, please submit a request for Defence service after WWII and our team will be able to assist.
