Struggling to find info about cousin I never knew I had

I am struggling to find info about a cousin I never knew I had.
I never knew he existed until I stumbled across his mother (my Aunt). Further investigation found that I had a cousin born in Hastings England in 1951 and sadly died in Queensland 1979. The family came from London to Queensland via Sydney in 1956. As far as I can find my Uncle then returned to London in the early 60’s.
My Uncle was Alfred Goss MacGregor born in Stirlingshire Scotland 1917
Aunt was Gladys M MacGregor (nee Hawkins) born in Lambeth London 1916
They married in 1951 between April and June
Cousin was John Stewart MacGregor born in Hastings East Sussex 1951.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

With thanks from Bonnie Scotland

HI,
Thank you so much for your email and help. I was struggling to find anything about John. I only ever knew my Uncle and did not know that John and his Mum existed. Thank you again for all your help…Now all I need to do is try and contact John’s family…As this obituary is in the Sydney Morning Herald, does this mean that they live in the Sydney area.

Regards

Linda Brown (MacGregor).

In the late 1970’s John was living south east of Brisbane QLD , while his parents were in North Sydney, NSW.
Also, John’s death was registered in Queensland, while Gladys’ death was registered in New South Wales. If you have money to spare, you could order their DC’s.

Hi

Thank you again for your help.

Can I ask where do you look to find all this information. I have signed up to NAA but still get nowhere.

All this is exciting news.

My uncle kept himself to himself.

My mum did say he was married but had never met his wife, and she never mentioned they had a son.

My daughter has joined me in my search so hopefully she can unearth more information.

So I can only thank you again. You gave been a great gelp to me.

Regards
Linda
