I’d like to find my mother’s death certificate. She died on October 24 1963 in Saigon, Vietnam. She was an Australian citizen and I believe her death would have been reported to DFAT (then Department of External Affairs). She died in a hospital a few days after an operation. Her name was Maria Louise Eveline Hill (nee van der Weide). She was born in Klaten Indonesia in 1916. I have tried various avenues with no luck. I have her marriage certificate but would love to have this too.

I’m not sure where to look for Death cert for your mum or where to suggest.
However I have seen some info on Ancestry which I’m not sure if this is yourself. I have also found shipping records and her marriage info to Brian Hill.

Thanks for your reply. I’ve done quite a lot of research on my grandparents’ and I’ve put that on Ancestry and anything else I know about my parents and family. Her death certificate has me stumped I must admit.
I’m sure if you look or enquire for your father’s records there maybe something in there. Some info is still classified because if his work and not yet released .
There are a few newspaper articles on your father but I couldn’t find anything on your mother. There marriage is online & shipping records.
