My great grandfather came to Australia in around 1890-1900 under some settlement program. His name was Khera/khaira/kheray khan/khairay khan son of Nawahidar/Nawaidar/Nawahidad/Nawaidad. He was muslim jutt family and came to Australia under a settlement contract but never returned home. He left a five years old son and six months old daughter back home, and agreed to work in Australia with a promise to get agriculural land. However, no clue what happened after that but family never received any information. How do I know what happened to him in Australia? What are the options to search the available information?
