# Trying to locate TIS family Christina Petronella

Can anyone help me trying to locate the emigration of Wilhelmus Lucouicus TISS and his wife Christina Petronella TISS nee Christina Petronella. Possibly arrived in Australia in the 1920s. Any help or direction as t o how to locate other records would be much appreciated

“Possibly arrived in Australia in the 1920s” … This seems a bit early?

The couple arrived in arrived Sydney per Aircraft PH DCF on **22 Jan 1961** (Aircraft PH-DCF was a Douglas DC-8-33 operated by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines)
No online documents seem to be available, but I expect item#12004005 (“1-31 January 1961 - inward air passenger list - Sydney”) to contain their arrival.

Thank you for the information you have provided. I am incredibly excited at what you have provided as I need to locate the means of obtaining BDMs and of course they died here so that simplifies things for me. I had no idea where they entered Australia so that is a great piece of information for me. I have located the parents of both but again I need to investigate to see what documents I am able to access. Again many thanks

I want to express my most sincere gratitude to Tree Spirit for all the information that has supplied to me, and I wonder if he has gone further with researching this family. I am now to the stage of trying to work out how to obtain any Duch BDMs for the entire family. Also are you in some way related to this family as my daughter married a TISS. Hoping this is not an invasion of your privacy.

I’m not sure which certificates you would like to have, but privacy in Holland is a big thing so BC’s \< 100y, MC’s \< 75y and DC’s \< 50y are not freely available. That’s the legal side. In practice a certificate will not turn up immediately online when it is legal to do so. That could take 5, 10 or more years. However the 2 previously mentioned BMD events contain the information that they can be viewed in the archives.
