Are all Series A Incoming passenger cards for aircraft 1949-1964 digitised and indexed or are there gaps?
ie I meant Series A 1225
The desription for series A1225 mentions:
The records from this series for the years 1949-50 were destroyed in the 1950s.
This series contains 1522 items and all items from this series are entered on RecordSearch.
At the moment about 250 items seem not to have been digitised yet. Most of these items seem to be from 1961.
Thanks for your question about the incoming passenger cards in series A1225.
A majority of A1225 has been indexed in the passenger arrivals index. The undigitised records and a small number of digitised records have not been indexed.
If you have any difficulty finding someone who arrived into Australia by aircraft during this time period, you can submit a passenger arrival inquiry using the link on our Passenger arrival records page.
Because these records are arranged by port and date then name, we need to know the place and date of arrival to be able to manually search these records.
Please let us know if you have any more questions about these records.
Regards,
Jessie (NAA)
