# How do I find out where did my uncle was sent to serve in WW11?

His name is John Davis Sharp  
Service No. SX28636  
Enlisted Alice Springs Feb 17 1943 Discharged Nov 28 1945

This is the link to your uncle’s service records: [Session expired | RecordSearch | National Archives of Australia](https://recordsearch.naa.gov.au/SearchNRetrieve/Interface/DetailsReports/ItemDetail.aspx?Barcode=6396138&isAv=N)

Just select view digital copy over on the far right part way down the page and you’ll see all his service records.

If the link doesn’t work, just go into name search in the record search page, enter your uncle’s surname, given names, WWII ( in the drop down box) and his service number then hit search. It should come up immediately.
