Hi @MP37a

Foster care and child welfare is generally a state government responsibility. This means that National Archives is not likely to hold any records, as we collect records of the federal government.

The best place to start looking will be the [State Records Office of Western Australia](https://www.wa.gov.au/organisation/state-records-office-of-western-australia/accessing-the-state-archives-collection).

If you’re not able to find anything by searching their collection, they should be able to provide you with advice on where to go next.

Good luck with your search.

Regards,

Jessie (NAA)
