looking for Francis Connolly

I am looking for information on my mothers first husband,she married him in 1933 in Melbourne

His name was Francis Connolly, he was an engineer, born in Galway Ireland, 1901.

My Mothers name was Noelle Heaven, she was born in Bristol, England in 1912.

His fathers name was Bartholomew and his mothers name was Mary Collins

My Mothers parents were Walter Charles Heaven and Hilda Bessie Denne

Anybody knowing anything, I would be pleased to hear from you. Thanks.

You haven't mentioned whether the marriage ended because Francis died early or whether it ended in divorce... If it was the latter, could the following be a possibility?:

Hi Sylvia

This looks like the person. I thought his middle name may have been Xavier. I didn't even know she had married before, and now I am wondering if he married again and had children.

I have heard that she never divorced him and never married my father. I am from South Africa and have been living in Sydney since 2009, It was only when I applied for citizenship that I got this other information about Francis.

In the 1901 and 1911 Irish census the only Francis who seems to come close was b abt 1897 and his mother’s name was Minnie.

Of course I have no idea whether this concerns the correct person, but it turns out that another son of this family ended up in Victoria and that Minnie’s maiden name was indeed Collins!:

This must have been a brother, the man my Mom married was born in 1901. I have managed to find him on the census in Sydney. He was an engineer, also states this on the marriage certificate. There is no divorce record, or just can't find one. Will carry on searching.
