Hi Paul,

You need to search here when you are looking for a catalogue entry on RecordSearch http://www.naa.gov.au/collection/search/index.aspx  (Search the Collection)

If you search for Walter HANCOCK, this is one of the results:

http://dhistory.org/archives/naa/items/4542327/

This person's DOB matches Wally's stats.  He married Amy TOWNER in 1926 in Sydney.

Quite a lot on TROVE:

Thanks Elizabeth, no West Terrace Cemetery is not the one, the sheet is very large and has so many names and numbers so maybe it is from overseas.
