I am trying to track this person. She traveled to Sydney from Wellington in August 1949 on the liner Wanganella (I have her on a passenger manifest, passenger 102). Within a few years she stopped communicating with family. She listed her profession as Governess, she however was a nurse in Dannevirke before she left. She was 21 when she arrived in Sydney. There is a lead she may have worked at some point at Mark Foys or Foy and Gibsons.

I do not know if she is living or deceased.  If her name changed, if she married, left Australia... we know nothing.

There was a family story she may have died in a plane crash on her way back to Sydney and it crashed in the sea (no idea of time/date), I cannot find a record of such a crash.  The story goes it was a life insurance scam...

Her DOB is August 6, 1928   Noeline Lepper   Part of Passenger Manfest
