Beaufort A9 350 crashed on Saddleback Mountain near Gerringong in November 1943. Records for the crash do exist but I am looking for the Court of Inquiry papers which seem to have vanished although they are mentioned in the files of some of the airmen who were killed in the accident.
I have no information on A9-350 which I know is of no help but as I am writing a history on RAAF Beauforts I would welcome anything you may like to contribute. One aircraft I am looking for details on is A9-303 which crashed at East Sale on 13/9/43. Cause of the crash was given as carbon monoxide poisoning of the crew (the family of the instructor were told this) but I do not believe carbon monoxide contributed to or even caused the accident. I cannot find the Court of Inquiry report so if anyone comes across it can you please let me know. Cheers, Kim
