I am researching  the  honour boards in our town , the name Linguish L. D. is posted. I cannot find any record for him on the nominal roll ww2 or in the National Archives. I have Goggled the name all to no avail. I did find reference to a

P. O. L. Languish RAAF being killed during the war there was no other details on that Trove entry.  Also  in Trove there was reference to a family of that name,  however so far none of the older residents can help. Can anyone help

Hi Debra

Thank you very much for those links it made my job easy. When I started this project it seemed so easy with the majority of the serviceman's names being on the nominal roll or easy to locate in the Archives. Now I am down to those names on either. Unfortunately  the locals who contributed to the preparation of the Boards have either left our area or passed. Can you tell me if there are other rolls I can search covering woman who enlisted I have quite a number of local woman who's names are on the Honour Boards and their names are not on the WW2 Nominal Roll or listed in the Archives?

Thank you again

Shane Moss
