i am trying to trace my uncles son his name is Reginald Gordon Loe and his mothers name was Bessie and his wifes name is Glennis, they lived in Cohuna Victoria and the last thing i have is of them on the Electorial roll 1982 and they lived at 19 William Street Cohuna.

i have researched the Loe family tree and would like to know when my uncle died and also where my cousin is.

my mother was Mabel Ida Loe and their parents were George Loe and Lillian Caroline (Newland) they was a very big family, who lived in London.

if anyone has any information of can give me some web sites of Birth Marriages and Deaths or anything else then i would be very grateful.

Hello Jeanette

Unfortunately, the records held by the National Archives of Australia will not be of any use to you, as we can only make publicly available records that are in the open perood (at the moment, we are releasing information from 1983 and earlier).

Current electoral rolls are not available online, they can only be searched at an Australian Electoral Commission office.  You may be able to find a research agent who could search on your behalf - we have a list of research agents on our fact sheet 40 - www.naa.gov.au/collection/fact-sheets/fs40.aspx.

Births, Deaths and Marriages records are held by the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages in each Australian state.  A list of their contact details can be found on our fact sheet 89 - www.naa.gov.au/collection/fact-sheets/fs89.aspx.

Also, you may wish to make inquiries with the Salvation Army www.salvos.org.au/familytracing/ or the Red Cross www.redcross.org.au/tracing-and-restoration-of-family-links.aspx

Best of luck in your search
