Sylvia, I saw that child from her first marriage on My Heritage but it didn't say where he was born
So maybe he was left back in Wales while Dorothy came out to Australia? getting very interesting & complicated
Elizabeth
Hi folks, again many thanks for details supplied. We were not aware that Dorothy was a married woman with a child when the family ordered Leonard to leave the country in 1924.A skeleton was known to be lurking in the cupboard, but no known details. I have traced Dorthy Chard/ Arthur Murton Marrage Record for 1917. A son Stanley Arthur Murton was Born 5 Mar 1918. He was abandoned in 1924 when she left the UK in the company of Leonard Palfrey. My Grandfather, Leonards brother. Did a good job of covering the scandal up. Regards Stuart.
