missing Family member

have traced   J.W. Webber arriving in Darwin aboard the MV Merkur jan 1940. on route to melbourne . where can i find a  passenger arrival list.

Also  reported to have Enlisted in the RAAF.   have found 3 entries  not yet examined.

Voyager Royal Commission

I am looking for the records of interview of crew members of HMAS Voyager. I fluked the search for Volume 2 which included my interview (A1256, ITEM 3A, Volume 2) beginning at page 698, but have not been able to retrieve the previous lot of interviews (?maybe Item 2A or Volume 1) covering names A-G.

Can anyone give me a link to get at these pages please?

Passenger Records

Having difficulty locating records of my return to Australia in September 1958 after a four year sojourn in Singapore where my father was working. I was 4 years old at the time and would have travelled on a parents' passport.The vessel we returned on came via Java and I think may have been a freighter which carried a small number of private passengers. Passenger searches are not showing up any information. Any suggestions

William Moore

do not know his place of residence as left Victoria for N.S.W.

Worked as a Miner, farm labourer.

 I am an 82 year old lady and have been searching for the whereabouts my fathers brother went to in order to fulfill a promise I made to my father just befor he died in 1965.   I know  I cannot believe it myself!

Alan Clift


I am researching the life of my maternal grandfather's brother, Walter Alan Clift. He was born in Southampton, England in 1898, and moved to Jersey with his family.

He was active in the 1914-1918 war, and then left the U.K., together with his wife Stella Sabina, on the 25/8/1921 aboard the SS Berrima.

The next thing I know is that he enlisted in Paddington. NSW, his service number being.NX24101. He gave his birth year as 1900!

Welsh/ Australia Connection

Researching the family history of my "Grandfathers Brother" Leonard Wallace Palfrey Born 1897. Left the UK in January 1924 in the company of a Miss Dorthy Chard. Born 1897. Both from  Malpas, Newport, Wales. London to Sydney on board the P&O SS Bendigo. Passenger ticket No 78 Chard. Searching for the Ogrodnik family members

Searching for the family members of the Ogrodnik clan . 

My grandparents Jan and Marija with their two children Joseph and Marianna were displaced persons and arrived here on the ship SKAUGUM 28th July 1949 . 

On the ships records their are other listed family members who were settled in other parts of Australia.

Florence Hunter

There are many members of family searching for  information about her. We know she was born 22.12.1902 in Belfast Ireland. We know she went to Australia in 1923 aboard the Baradine, she was recorded as being a domestic. She returned to England aboard the Ormonde from Sydney in 1932 and  was recorded as being a trained nurse.

Gurner family

Gurner William 1798 born Cambridge UK sent to Australia 1830 as a convict, he was on a ship called the Royal George which brought the convicts to Van Diemans Land.  He worked on the estate of Edward Archer esquire at Woolmers.
