I am trying to track this person. She traveled to Sydney from Wellington in August 1949 on the liner Wanganella (I have her on a passenger manifest, passenger 102). Within a few years she stopped communicating with family. She listed her profession as Governess, she however was a nurse in Dannevirke before she left. She was 21 when she arrived in Sydney. There is a lead she may have worked at some point at Mark Foys or Foy and Gibsons.

I would like to obtain a copy of this book as it is all about the 8th Battalion AIF, in which my uncle served. Amazon comes up blank, does anyone have an idea of where I could obtain a copy, I know there were only about 650 printed.

My great uncle Willie, born in England,, joined the 8th Battalion AIF on 29th Aug 1914, his service number was 17. I have his digital service record but am now trying to trace any connections in Australia. I know when he came to Australia in 1913 he lived @ 49 Clarke Street Chilwell Geelong. He lived with William Henry Rogers and Mary Rogers at this address. William Rogers was a quarryman.

I am unable to find any record of Peter Wojtowicz arriving in Australia after WW11, he would have been about 20 and had
no family with him. I have found electoral rolls from 1958 but nothing previously.I have no idea were else to search..
