I am trying to locate any records on my great uncle who was my grandmother's youngest brother. My grandmother, Gardenia Ruby Mitchell Walters O'Donnell said he put his age up to enlist in WW1 and was killed in France in 1916. I don't what his real name was. She referred to him as Abby and I think he was born in 1900. Abraham has been suggested, although my uncle was called Richard Albert O'Donnell and I did wonder if his name could have been Albert and my uncle was named after him. My…

I have found my father-in-law through the military service records for ww1. but cannot find any information on him either before or after the war. His name was Bernard Nuttall d.o.b. 7 june 1895. He enlisted in Aug 1914 at Albert Park Victoria and we know he stayed on in Australia after the first ww for some time returning to the u.k. only because his mother was very ill. He spoke very rarely of his time in Australia or the war only saying he left England by working on a ship and when he…

I am searching for information on my grandmother. The only thing I can find is a Passage for Fiancee of Harold Francis Smeeton. I can find marriage details, but cannot find anything on her prior to the wedding. Nothing. My grand-mother's name is Lucy Smeeton (nee Armitage). I can find no information on her parents or any siblings, birth date - anything.

Hi,
I am looking for information on the Horrocks and Walls families from the Wigan areas, for my research on my family history. I have hit a few brick walls and any info; however small will be much appreciated to me The main person I need info on is Thomas Horrocks b. wigan 1804. He is my grx3 grandfather. I need to find a baptism for him as it then may lead me to who I think his parents are.
