Hi Craig,
I was wondering how you solved this problem with expediting International Movement Request? I am in same boat with Chinese Visa application with planned departure very close. Can you please advise? Any help would be grateful.
Thanks Aron

G'day Aron.

I was able to expedite the request for International Movement Records with a follow-up email expressing the urgency. Unfortunately, my records indicated I had travelled in the 2 years prior, which I was aware of.

Based on this, CBITvisa advised without the actual previous passport, the Chinese Consulate would not issue me with a Visa. Thus I have had to cancel my trip.

Worthwhile progressin down this route, however if you know you have been travelling in the previous 2 year period and you do not have the previous passport, confirm with CBITvisa if a Chinese Visa will be offered.

Best wishes for a positive outcome.

Kind Regards

Thanks Craig,
I have supplied my old passport, and additionally I have not travelled internationally since 2007. Kind of a crap place to be.
Appreciate your advice. I have followed up with an Urgent request email today, see how it plays out. Thanks again for the response.

No worries, happy to help Aron. As you have supplied your old passport, you should be fine - the standard wait time is 6 working days.

Kind Regards

Thanks Craig,
One more question, how long did your record take to come through? I have placed an urgent request and phoned through, still yet to receive a reply.
