I believe from stories passed down to me from family members that two great uncles served in the Boer War. Their names were Joseph Gamble and George Henry Gamble (service number 3398)  & I believe that they would both have been members of "3 NSW Mounted Rifles". Both men came from Leadville in NSW & probably would have enlisted in Gulgon/Mudgee/Coonabarabran.
