Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice as to how I find out exactly what service medals my Great Uncle would have been entitled to. He served in the AIF in the 2/2 pioneer battalion and never made it home to Australia after being taken a POW then meeting his death after the bombing of the Rakuyo Maru in 1944. I would like to get reproductions of his medals done and want to get it correct.

Kind regards

Anne,  If you go into Record Search- his records is already online - just type in his full name

Hi Elizabeth,

I cant thank you enough, I already had a copy of Angus's records.....but when I went into the search it became evident that I had one page missing...the one that states what medals he was awarded. :)

Appreciate your help very much

Kind regards

Anne,  You could try contacting the War memorial to see if they could help

Dear Anne Turner,

Please could you get in touch with me as I am writing a history of the 2/2nd Pioneers and it would be great to hear about Angus.

Kind regards
