I have in my possession 3 Medals from the 1939-1945 war I have been doing a search online for the name of the recipient without success. One of the Medals has the number and name engraved around the rim>> W50730 F.Scarey. I would like to find the descendants to return the medals to them. Any suggestions?

Sydney,  There are 3 listings for a Frederick SCAREY in WW2 in the Australian War Memorial Honour Rolls but none of them have that Service No you listed

They are all in Western Australia & you can search the details via the following link - are you sure about that service number?

Sydney,  I have just found another listing and it is Frederick SCAREY who was born in Western Australia - he has so many Service numbers listed and the number W50730 is listed on this link but it was not on the Australian War memorial Nominal Roll

Sydney,   Further checking I have found in the Western Australia Cemetery Records at Karrakatta Cemetery that he died on 4th June 2002,   Ashes scattered

He was a Frederick Arthur SCAREY according to his death record - aged 79 years

He married Winifred Lucy GRIFFITHS in 1952 in WA - she died in 1992

Hope this helps - I will try & find more info on any living family members

His next of kin on his war records was listed as Frederick who may have been his Father

found this on a Frederick William SCAREY & Martha Elizabeth who might be his parents - needs further checking

p.s apologies for all the messages as kept finding extra info

Sydney,   I have some contact phone numbers & addresses for family in Western Australia but I don' want to post them on this forum

I will send you a friends request with my email address
