Hi,

I'm just having problems accessing the following websites regarding the 2/43 bn.  I'm just chasing information about Eric Maxwell Foggo SX6533 who served in the 2/43 bn and I'm just trying to find out some more information regarding his injuries and engagements he was involved in.

I was reading a post made on 1/4/12 regarding the 2/43 bn and have tried to access the info and it give me an error message with "Connection was reset, The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading."

I'm just wondering if their might be a problem at your end with the files?

Hi Matt

I presume you were able to find the digital copy of Eric Foggo's service record.  If not, the National Archives holds the WWI and WWII service records and there is a digital copy of his record available online. If you haven't located them yet, you can do a search inhttp://recordsearch.naa.gov.au/SearchNRetrieve/Interface/SearchScre... using just his service number to retrieve the item and view the digital copy.

Regarding the links above, I have just checked them and was able to successfully open them.  They are links to information provided by the Australian War Memorial. The problem you encountered may have been due to their website being down for some reason. If you continue to have problems loading the pages, you could contact the AWM's research centre www.awm.gov.au/research/

In addition to the two links above, you may be interested in the unit diaries for the 2/43 battalion at https://www.awm.gov.au/collection/records/awm52/diary.asp?levelID=1075 The unit diaries provide day-to-day information about the activities and engagements of the battalion.

Let me know if you keep having problems and I'll see what I can do to help.

Regards

Tonia
