The attached photo of a grave was in my father's collection. It is of a grave of Pte E J James 2/3 Australian Infantry D Company - I think his service record number reads QX27625.

I have looked this name and number up in the Archives and cannot find any matching records. I am interested to find out whether his ancestors would be interested in a copy of this photo if I can find them.

My father was John George Milne QX58440 - he was a craftsman driver/mechanic in 340 LAD RAEME in the Pacific - I believe on Moratai - in WWII.  We suspect that this grave was on that island. It is amongst some other photos of that time also - with palm fringed beach areas where the LAD was based.

Can anyone help me find any details?

Thanks

Margaret Milne
