Hi Michelle

I apologise for the delay in responding to your posting.

Under the Archives Act 1983, the National Archives can only release information that is in the open access period.  At the moment we are releasing information from 1985 and earlier.  For more information on the public release of information under the Archives Act see http://naa.gov.au/collection/fact-sheets/fs10.aspx.

If you wish obtain proof of your Australian citizenship and information about when you were naturalised, you will need to contact the Department of Immigration and Citizenship. For proof of citizenship:  http://www.citizenship.gov.au/current/proof_of_citizenship/  Alternatively, as you are looking for information on yourself, you can apply for the information under the Freedom of Information Act 1982: http://www.immi.gov.au/about/foi/foi.htm or http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/424a.pdf
