Good Afternoon,

Just joined the forum after searching for and locating my wife's uncle's Australian Army WW2 Service Record details -

WIGZELL MURRAY HAROLD : Service Number - SX23538 : Date of birth - 16 Apr 1916 : Place of birth - BLACKWOOD SA : Place of enlistment - GHERANG VIC : Next of Kin - WIGZELL ISABEL

It lists the Access Status as Open, & states the records are PAPER FILES AND DOCUMENTS (allocated at series level).

Does this mean the records are still just his file originals, and they are not available for on-line viewing?

I'm new to the 'Recordsearch' application, and try as I might, I could not see any magic button that allowed me to view the entire file on-line, which I'm sure I could do some years ago when I requested another family member's record be opened.

Can somebody please enlighten me into the secret?
